Some better news...
Today was a much waited for day, and it passed off with great results. Nikola went back into the Canadian embassy to receive her approval for a visitor's visa. So that means that she will be coming back with me to Ontario this summer for three weeks. We're extremely excited about it, and happy that the whole bureaucratic process is all over! There's a lot of paper to put together and running around to do for a mere three-week visit, which is sure to pass by very quickly. Regardless, it's finally done and over with, and now it's onto getting the flight ticket and health insurance.
So, some better news to begin this week.
That said, Emma's funeral will take place tomorrow in St. Albert, Alberta, hopefully providing final closure for her family. If you have pink, wear it (it was her favourite colour); if you have any Edmonton Oilers items, display them (it was her favourite hockey team); and if you don't have either of those, please just spare a thought tomorrow for one of the brightest lights that I have ever been pleased to know.
Till next post...
